New student Naomi Kurtz is looking for other Draperites to share an apartment with her in the coming academic year.
My preferences is to live close to school, with anywhere from 2 to 3 apartment mates. Of course rent is naturally expensive in the area near NYU, but as I will be taking out a loan for some living expenses, I could afford roughly $1,000 to $1,500 a month.
Please contact her at firstname.lastname@example.org if you’re interested or need more details!
Dear Draperites and Alumn,
Visual AIDS, a non-profit that “utilizes art to fight AIDS” had a great experience hiring a Draper alumn in the past and so asked us to notify you of this job opportunity:
Visual AIDS seeks an Associate Director. This is the second of two full-time positions, and will work with our soon-to-be Executive Director Nelson Santos on every aspect of Visual AIDS work including artist relations and arts programing, collaboration with LGBT and AIDS advocacy work, fundraising and special events, and communicating our program of utilizing contemporary visual art in the fight to end AIDS to growing audiences and supporters. We need a very hands-on, highly organized, creative, and articulate person. In such a small office, a positive attitude, sense of humor, and can-do approach is critical.
Hello current and future Draperites! Please see below for information on advisement and registration for fall 2012 classes.
Fall 2012 Academic Advisement
Draper’s fall 2012 academic advisement session will run from Monday, August 13 – Thursday, August 30. Draper will begin scheduling advising appointments starting on Monday, July 23, 2012. Students should call the Draper main line at 212.998.8070 on or after July 23 to make appointments. This information is also available on our News and Events page.
Registering for Outside Classes
Students wishing to register for non-Draper courses may do so at any time. In this case, it is important to first contact the originating department to find out what their protocol is for registering outside students.
All students who are registering for credit-bearing courses in the fall 2012 semester must have an advising appointment.
Draper student Craig Knox would like to find someone to take over the lease on his apartment in July, and is offering a monetary incentive for the person who does so. The apartment listing is below; contact Craig directly at email@example.com with questions.
I am moving out of the city and am trying to find somebody to rent my apartment located at 79th and York. I have two months left on my lease. My current rent is $1435 and utilities are included. If you sign a 12 month lease I will give you $500 from the rent money I am saving. I will also let you keep any furniture that want. The apartment is on the 6th floor of a walkup building so not having to move a bunch of things in would be greatly beneficial. I have a queen sized loft bed. This really saves space. I recommend keeping the loft if you don’t want any of the other furniture. The apartment is close to entertainment, a large number of restaurants, and the subway (6 train). It is in one of the safest and most beautiful areas of the city. It’s a short walk to Central Park and the Met. Pictures are available on request.
