Felice is a poet, medical humanities scholar, and medical educator. While a full-time faculty member at New York University School of Medicine, she used poetry and fiction with medical students to consider the illness experience, doctor-patient relationships, and medical training; she founded a widely used online resource, The Literature, Arts, and Medicine Database.
Currently adjunct in the Division of Medical Humanities in NYU ‘s Department of Medicine, she helps to plan medical humanities programs; writes and critiques poetry; does editorial work for the journal, Literature and Medicine where she is associate editor, and for The Bellevue Literary Review. Her poetry and articles have appeared in many publications. The Music Behind Me is her first poetry collection.
