The Humanities Initiative and Department of Comparative Literature invites you to the launch of 4 exciting new books by Professors Emily Apter (NYU), John Hamilton (Harvard), Stathis Gourgouris (Columbia), and Thomas Keenan (Bard). Professor Jacques Lezra, Comp Lit chair, will moderate.

Great Books in the Humanities: New Directions in Comparative Literature

Join us to hear brief presentations about each book and an exclusive Q&A session with the authors. This event will be moderated by Jacques Lezra, Professor of Spanish and Portuguese, Comparative Literature at NYU, with opening remarks by Jane Tylus, Faculty Director of The Humanities Initiative at NYU and Professor of Italian Studies and Comparative Literature. NYU Bookstore staff will be on site selling copies of all four books at 20% off retail price. A reception with refreshments will follow.
