Public Programs at the Museum of the City of New York seeks an intern who is currently enrolled in college or graduate school to assist with all aspects of administration of programming, including event planning and management, assisting in event set up and break down, ticketing and customer service, conducting research both on audience development, materials and equipment as well as program and speaker content, social media marketing and data tracking. The ideal candidate is energetic, creative, detail-oriented, passionate about New York City and cultural life and interested in real world experience in programming and nonprofit administration. Hours during the week are flexible, but some evening and weekend availability is necessary. Applicant must be able to commit to a minimum of three months.
