We hope that you are enjoying your summer so far!
You can begin scheduling advisement appointments Wednesday, July 30, at 9:00 am. If you call in and the line is busy, please do not leave a message – just try again in a few minutes!
Fall 2014 Academic Advisement
Draper’s fall 2014 academic advisement session will run from Wednesday, August 13 – Thursday, August 28.
Students may call the Draper main line at 212.998.8070, starting at 9:00 am on Wednesday, July 30 to make an advisement appointment. These dates will be available at any time on our News and Events page.
If you are unable to call in, you are also welcome to email us (email@example.com) to set up an appointment. We will get back to you as soon as we can.
Please note that advising does not have to be done in person, you are welcome to have an appointment by phone – just let us know when you schedule it.
All students who are registering for credit-bearing courses in the fall 2014 semester must have an advising appointment.
Registering for Outside Classes
Students wishing to register for non-Draper courses may do so, but should still plan on scheduling an advisement appointment. In this case, it is important to first contact the originating department to find out what their protocol is for registering outside students, as it can vary by department.
Working on Your Thesis
Students who plan to work only on their thesis in the fall, and not take other courses, must register for Maintenance of Matriculation (Course number MAINT-GA 4747, Class #4441). No permission codes are needed to register for maintenance, nor is it required that you have an advisement appointment.
Draper Fall 2014 Courses
A preliminary fall 2014 course schedule is now available on Draper’s website: http://www.draper.fas.nyu.edu/object/draper.courseschedule.fall14
We should be adding a few more crosslists, course descriptions, and additional course information, so be sure to check back as the semester approaches.
