Patrick Iber will discuss his book Neither Peace Nor Freedom: The Cultural Cold War in Latin America at the Tamiment Library on Monday February 22 at 6:00 PM.
Patrick Iber is Assistant Professor of History at the University of Texas at El Paso. He obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Chicago in 2011 and was an Andrew W. Mellon Fellow in the Humanities at Stanford University from 2011-2013. His first book, Neither Peace nor Freedom: The Cultural Cold War in Latin America, was published by Harvard University Press in 2015. His articles and essays have appeared in Diplomatic History, the Journal of Latin American Studies, as well as Dissent,The New Republic, and other publications.
