March 1- Michelle Chase- Revolution within the Revolution: Women and Gender Politics in Cuba, 1952-1962

Michelle Chase will discuss her book Revolution within the Revolution: Women and Gender Politics in Cuba, 1952-1962 (University of North Carolina Press, 2015) at the Tamiment Library on Tuesday March 1 at 6:00 PM. This event is sponsored by the Center for the United States and the Cold War.

Michelle Chase is an assistant professor of history and Latin American and Caribbean studies at Bloomfield College. She has published articles and book reviews in journals such as Bulletin of Latin American Research, The Journal of American History, and The Sixties. She has also written about contemporary Cuba for The Nation, Boston Review, Al Jazeera America, and NACLA.
