March 29- Benjamin Goldstein, Director of Jack London: American Original

Filmmaker Benjamin Goldstein will discuss his film Jack London: American Original at the Tamiment Library on Tuesday March 29 at 6:00 PM. Screening of clips from the film will be followed by a Q&A with the writer/director. This event is sponsored by the Frederic Ewen Center.

About the Writer/Director Ben Goldstein

Ben Goldstein received his MFA in film from NYU in 1978. Jack London: American: Original is his first feature length documentary. He wrote, produced and directed 23 short films and videos shown on Sesame Street and 3-2-1- Contact. His films and videos have been included in many prestigious festivals and shown in numerous countries around the world and at the Museum of Modern Art.  Ben’s ½ hour children’s narrative film Been There?  played on Nickelodeon numerous times. He is the Creator/Director of the children’s environmental performing group, the “World Patrol Kids”. Video productions with this group include the award-winning , Earth Tunes for Kids,  Recycle It!  Save Our Animal Friends, The Importance Of Trees, and Water and the Earth.  World Patrol Kids music videos played for several years on The Learning Channel.

Theater works include: Co-Author/Lyricist “Caviar” performed at the Delacorte Theatre and on Broadway at the Ante Theatre,. Ben is the Author/Lyricist of the award-winning plays Looice, and  Guess Again performed at the Public Theatre and The First All Children’s Theatre. Recent productions include  The Secret of Our Souls – A Kabalistic Love Story performed at the Minetta Lane Theatre -2009 Fringe Festival,Jack London: His Life and Loves and the The Storyteller produced as part of Marvell Repertory Theatre Company’s Emerging Artist Series and Reading Series – 2011-2012, and Jack London: Sex, Love and Revolution at The Fringe Festival NYC 2013.
