Meg Jacobs will discuss her new book Panic at the Pump: The Energy Crisis and the Transformation of American Politics in the 1970s (Hill and Wang, 2016) on Wednesday, October 19 (6:00 PM) at the Tamiment Library. Meg Jacobs is a visiting associate professor of history at Columbia University and a research scholar at the Woodrow Wilson School of International and Public Affairs at Princeton University. Her book, Panic at the Pump: The Energy Crisis and the Transformation of American Politics in the 1970s, appeared in April 2016 and explores the complex nature of American energy policy. She is the author of Pocketbook Politics: Economic Citizenship in Twentieth-Century America and Conservatives in Power: The Reagan Years.
