Non-Profit Boot Camp

January 29, 2016 9:00-4:30 pm, Wasserman Center

Deadline to Apply: Monday, January 11  This full-day conference is open to undergraduate and graduate students from all majors to learn industry insights, trends and career development advice from professionals in the non-profit field along with networking opportunities.  The keynote speaker is Veronika Scott of The Empowerment Plan.  Breakfast and lunch will be served. Managing your Quarter-Life Crisis

Join Pamela Weinberg and recent graduates /young alumni in learning how to rebound from the quarter-life crises, and how to take steps to recover and thrive in the next professional phase. The workshop covers: re-discovering passions, interests and strengths, assessing skills and gaps, and building confidence, as well as tips on searching for your next career and a job market overview for millennials. Of particular interest to Draper students may be the last item mentioned, the Funded Internship Award, which is a $1,000 award for “students pursuing unpaid internships at non-profits, government agencies, arts organizations and other industries that do not traditionally pay their interns…” Applications for the award are due (via NYU CareerNet) on February 21.
